Rooftop Roots & Reggae – Winter Edition

Event

Rooftop Roots + Reggae brings together three of Canberra's leading original roots music acts for a unique live music experience at 'Blank Cultural Platform', one of the city's newest independent arts and cultural venues. Set on the rooftop in the heart of the city, the event showcases the depth and diversity of the ACT's reggae and dub scene in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Headlining the evening are This Way Orkestra, whose powerful horn section and original blend of reggae, dub, afrobeat, ska and jazz have established them as one of Canberra's most exciting live bands. Joining them are Kopasetic, long-time favourites delivering uplifting roots reggae, soulful grooves and positive vibrations, alongside Agency Dub Collective, one of Australia's longest-running live dub acts, known for deep basslines, rich musicianship and immersive soundsystem-inspired performances.

Between the live sets, DJs and selectors continue the journey through reggae, dub and global roots music, creating a seamless soundtrack from afternoon into the evening.

Presented by Clandestino Canberra, Rooftop Roots + Reggae celebrates original music, community and culture while showcasing the creative energy of Blank Cultural Platform as a home for independent artists and live performance. Visitors can discover Canberra's vibrant roots music scene, enjoy one of the city's most distinctive rooftop venues, and experience an evening built around great music, connection and the enduring spirit of reggae and dub.
