Toasty with a Most-y

Event

Does Canberra make the best toasted sandwich? Who has what it takes to compete in a no-holds-barred Thunderdome of Toasty-Making? Is it a local hospitality professional, a passionate home cook, or Canberra's favourite café?

Trust Club Cafe and You Are Here Canberra are staging a one-day public competition where Canberra's hospitality professionals will square off against the People's Champions to determine who has the city's best toasty recipe. No ingredients are forbidden (food safety permitting)! Contestants are encouraged to bring everything from minimalist masterpieces to the most outrageous Toastenstein creations.

Audience members will be randomly selected to join the panel of expert judges, putting contestants through a punishing elimination bracket where their toasting skills, creativity, and culinary vision will face the ultimate test.

The competition takes place on City Walk, Canberra's new home for creative development and event spaces in the CBD.

Those keen to compete can fill out the entry form via the link below, or tag their favourite toasty sandwich spot to encourage them to get involved.

Come and have the competition on toast!
